Nintendo Switch 2 confirms support for optical tracking, DLSS

According to the latest news, the newly released Switch 2 continues to use the NVIDIA GPU chip with support for ray tracing, DLSS overscore technology. The detailed specifications of this GPU are not yet known, and it does keep up with the times on a technical level. Nintendo confirmed that developers can either use the native rendering resolution or scale to a higher resolution with DLSS super-scaling.

Note, however, that Nintendo is only talking about developers, not players, so it is not clear for the time being whether players will have the option to turn on different grades of DLSS in the game.In the announced Metroid 4 demo, four performance grades can be seen, but there is no mention of DLSS.With regard to the hardware parameters, Nintendo said that it will not share more details and prefers players to focus on the value of the gaming experience. Interestingly, Nintendo also added that NVIDIA, as a partner, will be releasing more information. According to rumors, the processor of Switch 2 is Tegra T239 and the GPU architecture is from Ampere RTX 30 series.
